About our school...
WELCOME
Welcome to the first glimpse of our School. We hope that you will choose to come and visit us and meet all our children and staff. I was appointed Head of Eaton Bray Lower School in February 2005. However, I have been Deputy Head here since 1991. I hope this shows a commitment to the School and my belief that it is a special place. We are small enough to form excellent relationships with our children, and they with each other, but we are large enough to ensure the curriculum is fully covered. Our School has a quiet, calm, caring ethos, which is commented on by all our visitors. Everyone at the School forms a hardworking and dedicated team. The staff are reliable and flexible, which is crucial in a small lower School. The Governors of the School are tremendously supportive and regularly give of their time, not just for meetings but also to offer advice, support and expertise. We also have a very active Home School Association. Their time is taken up planning exciting events for the children to enjoy. As an added bonus, money is often raised for additional School resources. I hope our website will give you a flavour of what our School is like. Rather than try to explain in detail here, how we work and what we believe in, I would ask that you come and see us. I look forward to welcoming you and your child/children to our School.

Message From The Chair Of Governors
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Thank you for your interest in Eaton Bray Lower School. I have been associated with the school (as a parent and a governor) for eleven years and feel privileged to have been involved. EBLS is a special place where the staff, pupils and governors work together to achieve a quiet but productive environment that allows pupils to achieve the highest possible standards of education, behaviour and personal development.
The school benefits from a committed and multi-talented governing body.
The school has achieved many targets and awards and in 2004 was very highly rated by OfSTED.
After two changes in personnel at the head-teacher level in my time at the school, we have been very fortunate to have secured the leadership of Mrs Hounslow as head. She has had (and continues to have) a very long-term commitment to the school and its community. Together with other teaching and non-teaching staff, she continues to strive for still higher standards and achievements from pupils and staff.
At present we are looking forward to more developments in facilities and buildings over the next year or so.
If you are interested in sending your children to our school the best thing you could do is to visit us. Be prepared for a surprise though – invariably visitors are surprised by how quiet it is!
